Losing Nails From A Pseudomonas Nail Infection
When you lose a nail your life is a bit absorbed with the hideous presentation that your hands now make and if you have a Pseudomonas Nail Infection then you have maybe not only a distracting and unnatural color and pigmentation to your nail bed but you stand a very likely chance of losing the nail to the Pseudomonas Nail Infection.
A Pseudomonas Nail Infection means that somewhere along the line you have allowed air and moisture to penetrate either between the nail bed and the nail itself allowing iron buildups to occur. If it is not between the nail bed and the nail then it is between the nail and perhaps an acrylic nail or other type of enamel material placed over the nail to create this manicured look.
What happens when you contract a Pseudomonas Nail Infection is that it creates a very unnatural green or grey color underneath either the nail or the artificial nail. This is not a mold, although by the looks of it it, you would likely want to call it that. It is actually the result of iron buildup and deposits. This happens when as aforementioned the air and moisture get trapped underneath the nail and are kept there to breed. Mold is not a byproduct of this as it is not a spore that can live on human tissue. It is in fact due to other deposits. Rest assured that as gross as it may look, it is not mold growing on your skin or under your nail.
If you have experienced this discoloring due to Pseudomonas Nail Infection, then before long, after you have received treatment you can expect one of two things to happen. One such event that may occur is that the color will grow out. You will watch the discoloration move upwards out of your cuticle and out toward the top of the nail during the natural growth period. Another reaction to any cure or treatment in Pseudomonas Nail Infection is that along with the discoloration growing out, the nail will grow out as well. Leaving the nail bed exposed but regrowing a healthy nail in its place. Although either option is not exactly a great one, it would be better not to have a Pseudomonas Nail Infection in the first place. Proper care of your nails and nail beds and allowing proper ventilation if using acrylic or other false enamel is essential to keeping the Pseudomonas Nail Infection away.
